Many clients have asked for recommendations on where to get their computer hardware repaired. They are aware that the Tutor's expertise is software driven and even though the Tutor can diagnose a hardware problem, the Tutor sticks to doing what the Tutor does best: software. That being said, the Tutor can usually tell a client if a repair is worth the time or money. Not that the Tutor advocates the instant disposal of said broken computer or computer component, but there is an economy of scale that plays into the decision of fix/buy new. The Tutor will give the best advice for the given age and problem of the item and the client will be able to make a more informed choice.

Being a small business owner (can't get much smaller than a sole proprietor), I like to refer business to other small business owners who can provide timely service without breaking the bank. Clients can certainly go to the "big guys" and wait in line at their technician's desk OR they can take The Computor Tutor's advice and call, or go directly to Family PC Outlet in Danvers, MA where owner Bill Simons will take care of you and your computers. Tell him the TUTOR sent you.
